From high-end through to drugstore skincare products.
I am certainly no stranger to high-end through to drugstore products. Throughout my 20’s and 30’s, I was desperate to find something that left my skin not only looking beautiful but feeling beautiful. I would wash and tone, but would need to immediately follow with a moisturiser or WHOA my skin felt like it was on a human stretcher! Despite the price tag, every month I got pimples and every winter the skin around my nose and mouth peeled and flaked!
That’s how Baimeni began. I was in search of finding a natural alternative to help rid myself of acne and dry skin. I was so embarrassed every winter to head out and see friends or co-workers. The pimple I could usually find a way to cover up, but the dry skin I could not. Make-up would only leave the dry skin looking even more obvious as coloured bits of skin flaked off. The other look was no make-up, and layering on a little lotion to the skin every hour or so. But that always made me feel grimy and dirty, such that I just couldn’t wait to get home and wash my face. Regardless I was always left super self-conscience.
Baimeni’s signature product is the Hydrating Eye & Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid. This magic in a bottle sincerely helped my skin actually absorb and be nourished by the moisturiser I was using. I never realised that the majority of moisturiser actually evaporates because they are mostly made of water. Secondly, the majority of moisturisers have alcohol in them and this would cause a stinging sensation and leave my already irritated skin redder. Each Hyaluronic Acid molecule can hold up to 1000 times itself in moisture, which means it is clinging on to the moisturiser and absorbing it, leaving skin hydrated. To complement Baimeni’s Hydrating Eye & Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, I paired it with Baimeni’s 100% Natural Face Oil which is made with 9 different oils, 7 of them are essential oils. In turn, my skin feels and looks softer and smoother. I am happy to report that for two winters now I have not experienced dry flaky skin around my nose or mouth!
Furthermore, to prime my skin and keep it as flawless as possible (this not only includes breakouts, but also rashes); I needed to find a natural, non-irritating way to care for delicate, aging skin naturally. And there came the formulation of Baimeni’s Nourishing Honey Cleanser/Mask, Illuminating Apple Cider Vinegar and Aloe Vera Toner and Clarifying Sweet Almond Oil Cleanser. Each of these products help contribute to the overall health and maintenance for beautiful skin.
I use the Nourishing Honey Cleanser/Mask twice a week, leaving it on my face for 20 minutes. Honey is antibacterial and antimicrobial. Raw honey contains hydrogen peroxide, which is released when it comes into contact with moisture. Hydrogen peroxide is both antibacterial and fungicidal. Honey was originally used for therapeutic purposes, as it has antibacterial properties, but was replaced by antibiotics, such as penicillin and synthetic drugs in the 1940s and 1950s. That means any of that yuck that might think about sinking into your pore to create pimples will be washed away. And it’s healing and helps repair acneic sores and scars. It is a natural humectant. That means it is attracted to water/moisture. So if you have oily skin then it will help soak up the excess oil. If you have dry skin, then you need to make sure you definitely moisturise, great for anti-aging. It’s incredibly moisturising. Yes I know what I just wrote earlier! But what this means is because it is a humectant and is attracted to moisture, it will soak up your moisturiser and sink it into your skin. And honey is full of beneficial enzymes – alpha hydroxyl – that helps to naturally exfoliate skin. A great complexion booster!
Baimeni’s Apple Cider Vinegar is produced from 100% Australian apple juice, naturally fermented and matured. It is unpasteurised and unfiltered, and has the “Mother of Vinegar” still active in the vinegar. The vinegar is made from apples that are broken down from fermentation. Apples naturally have flavonoids, carotenoids, and phytochemicals including quercetin, catechin, phloridzin, and chlorogenic acid. All of which are strong antioxidants. Apple cider vinegar also contains vitamins B1, B2, B6, and C, which is anti-aging skin booster.
In the fermentation process the sugar from apples turns into alpha hydroxyl acids, which are the main acne fighting components in this natural elixir. And alpha hydroxyl acid in apple cider vinegar can help balance the skins natural acidity (pH), increase cellular turnover with natural lactic and malic acid (by breaking down old skin cells), reduces oil, and helps keep bacteria away, all in a natural way. Many expensive commercial face washes bang on about the tiny amounts of alpha hydroxy acids they’ve added to their products, but apple cider vinegar is full of far higher levels, of which are alive and ready to revive your skin. The ‘natural’ ingredients in commercial face products are actually dead and useless by the time they are processed and bottled up.
Apple Cider Vinegar actually helps to regulate the pH balance of the skin. It’s an excellent toner and can be used for all skin types. It’s also antibacterial and has anti-inflammatory properties. For oily and acne-prone skin, Apple Cider Vinegar helps to treat acne and reduce redness. And for all skin, Apple Cider Vinegar helps to exfoliate skin and reduce wrinkles.
Baimeni’s Clarifying Sweet Almond Oil has the power to hydrate and enliven your skin. Almond oil has high amount of vitamin A, B and E which are essential to keep your skin young and supple. Most big brand skin care products contain these vitamins. Sweet almond oil is naturally rich in having these vitamins and other skin-friendly nutrients in abundance. Moreover, pure almond oil keeps your skin moisturised. Being noncomedogenic, and medium-light non greasy lubricant, it gets into your skin easily without blocking skin pores. This versatile natural oil for skin care provide following skin benefits and helps to:
